  After deciding that filing for bankruptcy was probably the best course of action to take in my situation, the next step was finding a bankruptcy attorney. I stumbled on Lloyd Poelman through a google search and I'm glad I did. Everything from setting up the first appointment to the final meeting of the creditors went incredibly smooth. Poleman has a remarkable paralegal in his assistant Brenda. Although my meetings were handled directly by Lloyd, much of the detailed paperwork is handled by Brenda who knew all the ins-and-outs of my case. As a team they are incredibly efficient. Although I already knew I had chosen wisely from the beginning, the icing on the cake was at the final meeting of the creditors. The few individuals who went before me stumbled through their questions, their paperwork needed to be corrected, and they needed to come back for another meeting. Lloyd and I sat down in front of the trustee and were done in a matter of minutes. No extra questions, no confusion with the paperwork, just like that... done. It was a credit to his and Brenda's thoroughness in preparing my case. For a person who was nervous about declaring bankruptcy, Lloyd and Brenda made me feel at ease throughout the whole process.
